Ogun State's Vnicom Solutions Expands Turnify Into One of Nigeria's Leading Teaching Hospitals

Spending four hours in a hospital waiting room for a 30 minute consultation is not an exception in Nigeria. It is often the reality for many patients. Vnicom Solutions built Turnify to address this challenge, and this week the Ogun State software company reached a significant milestone by expanding the platform's deployment at the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan.
On July 2, 2026, Vnicom completed the delivery and demonstration of enhanced Turnify features at UCH, one of Nigeria's oldest and most respected federal teaching hospitals. The deployment forms part of a formal academic intervention study led by Dr. Esther Famutimi, titled "Evaluating the Effectiveness of Digital Queue Management Systems on Patients' Waiting Times, Experience, and Satisfaction at the University College Hospital, Ibadan."
Turnify was first introduced at UCH in April 2026 as a pilot project. The latest phase expands the system across three departments: the General Outpatient Department, the Staff Clinic, and the Medical Outpatient Department. Since the pilot began, the platform has issued more than 3,000 digital queue tickets, giving patients a structured and transparent alternative to the informal waiting process common in many public healthcare facilities.
At the centre of the expanded deployment is an Android TV display system that provides patients and visitors with real time queue information. The solution also includes an embedded SIM enabled broadband connection, allowing the platform to remain online without depending on the hospital's internal network infrastructure.
Speaking on the milestone, Dr. Oluwole Ogunsanya, Managing Director of Vnicom Solutions, said the deployment reflects the company's commitment to improving patient experience through practical technology.
"Too often, hospitals unintentionally require patients to trade an entire day for a brief consultation. We hope this study will contribute valuable evidence on how digital queue management can improve patient flow, reduce unnecessary waiting, and enhance the overall care experience. Seeing Turnify's new digital display deployed in one of Nigeria's leading teaching hospitals is an important milestone for us."
Vnicom Solutions is a Nigerian software development company building mobile, web, cloud, and embedded technology solutions for businesses and public institutions. Turnify is one of the company's flagship products, designed to help hospitals and other high traffic service organisations improve customer flow, reduce waiting times, and deliver a better service experience through digital queue management.
Looking ahead, the company plans to expand Turnify into additional departments within UCH while pursuing deployments across more hospitals, diagnostic centres, and other high traffic service environments in Nigeria. To support this growth, Vnicom is also investing in a dedicated Turnify hardware ecosystem that includes branded ticket terminals, mobile compatible ticket printers, and custom SIM enabled TV display units.
For Ogun State's technology ecosystem, the UCH deployment demonstrates how enterprise software developed within the state is gaining adoption in major national institutions. Combined with an active academic research partnership, more than 3,000 digital tickets already processed, and deployment within one of Nigeria's leading federal teaching hospitals, the project represents an important milestone for both Vnicom Solutions and the growing reputation of Ogun State as a source of practical technology innovation.
