Founders Friday Abeokuta Turns One. They’re Giving Away ₦1,000,000 to Celebrate.

Twelve months ago, Founders Friday Abeokuta was just a room.

A group of founders, builders, and ecosystem believers decided to meet, talk, and show up for each other every month. No big announcement. No fanfare. Just consistency.

One year later, that room has become one of Ogun State’s most active founder communities. And this Friday, they are marking the milestone the only way that actually makes sense for a community built around builders: by putting money behind them.

Founders Friday Abeokuta’s one-year anniversary edition holds on Friday, July 31, 2026, at 4PM at theBunker Hub, Oke-Ilewo, Ogun State. The theme is Ubuntu, drawn from the African philosophy that says “I am because we are.” The centrepiece of the evening is a pitch competition with ₦1,000,000 in prizes split across the top three startups.

That is not a participation trophy. That is real money going into the hands of founders building real things in Ogun State.

Founders who want to pitch can apply through the link below. Seats for those coming to watch, support, invest, or simply be in the room are also open for reservation. The community has made clear that this edition is not just for founders: business owners, investors, students, and anyone who believes in what is being built in Ogun State is welcome.
